About Me
I am a Marketing student at the University of Central Florida in the Professional Selling Program with a minor in Health Science. Through experiences in sales, recruiting, coaching, and student leadership, I have developed a passion for building relationships, understanding people, and working toward measurable goals.
Most recently, I interned with Gartner in Dallas, where I supported Account Executives with pipeline development, client research, prospect engagement, and territory strategy. Outside of my professional experience, I serve as Vice President of Alpha Delta Pi, where I help lead a chapter of more than 160 members.
I am excited to continue developing through UCF's Professional Selling Program and ultimately pursue a career where I can combine my competitive nature, communication skills, and desire to create meaningful relationships.

WHY SALES?
I am drawn to sales because it combines two things that motivate me most: working with people and working toward a goal. I enjoy building relationships, learning what matters to someone, and finding ways to create value rather than simply presenting a product or service.
My experiences in recruiting, coaching, student leadership, and my internship with Gartner have shown me how much I enjoy environments where communication, preparation, and follow-through directly impact results. I also appreciate the competitive side of sales. I like being able to measure my progress, receive feedback, adjust my approach, and continually work toward becoming better.
As I begin UCF's Professional Selling Program, I am excited to strengthen those skills and learn how to turn my natural interest in people and performance into a long-term professional sales career.
Professional Selling Program
UCF's Professional Selling Program is a selective, hands-on program designed to help students develop the communication, relationship-building, and professional selling skills needed for a career in sales. Through advanced coursework, role-plays, coaching, networking, and interaction with corporate partners, students have opportunities to apply what they learn in realistic professional settings.
As I begin my journey in UCF's Professional Selling Program, I am looking forward to developing the skills, confidence, and business knowledge needed to become a successful sales professional. I chose PSP because I wanted an experience that would challenge me beyond the classroom and give me opportunities to practice professional selling in a competitive, hands-on environment.
I am especially excited to learn from corporate partners, receive direct coaching and feedback, strengthen my ability to communicate value, and build relationships with other students and professionals. My goal is to use the program to become more intentional in the way I sell, communicate, and lead while preparing for my transition into a full-time sales career after graduation.

— Robert CollierGartner Internship Reflection
During my internship with Gartner, I gained firsthand experience in a professional B2B sales environment and developed a better understanding of what it takes to build strong client relationships. Throughout the summer, I worked alongside Account Executives, participated in prospecting and client research, and learned how preparation, communication, and collaboration contribute to success in sales.
Most importantly, the experience helped confirm my interest in pursuing a career in sales and gave me a stronger foundation as I begin UCF's Professional Selling Program.
One of my biggest takeaways was learning how important it is to understand the value behind what you are selling. Successful sales conversations are not simply about explaining a product or service. They are about understanding a client's priorities and communicating value in a way that is relevant to them.
Throughout the internship, I became more comfortable communicating with professionals, asking thoughtful questions, receiving feedback, and adapting my approach. Being challenged throughout the summer showed me how much growth can come from being coachable and willing to step outside of my comfort zone.
Working alongside experienced sales professionals showed me how important collaboration is in a high-performing environment. I learned from different leadership styles, observed how team members supported one another, and saw the impact that a strong culture can have on both individual and team success.
Leadership Spotlight
My involvement in Alpha Delta Pi has given me the opportunity to grow as a leader while working alongside people with different personalities, perspectives, and leadership styles. Through roles including Director of New Member Experience and Vice President, I have learned that effective leadership requires more than simply managing responsibilities. It requires strong communication, accountability, adaptability, and the ability to build trust with others.
Leading within a chapter of more than 160 members has challenged me to become more confident in making decisions, navigating difficult conversations, and supporting both individual members and the organization as a whole. These experiences have shaped the way I approach teamwork and leadership and have given me skills that I know will translate directly into my professional career.
Learning how to communicate effectively with different personalities and audiences has been one of the most valuable parts of my leadership experience.
Leadership has taught me the importance of following through on commitments, setting expectations, and holding both myself and others accountable.
Whether navigating recruitment, supporting chapter members, or handling unexpected challenges, I have learned to remain flexible and find solutions in fast-paced situations.
